Storm at Swallowtail Manor

Storms can blow in without warning, and this storm is no different. Just as guests are gathering at Swallowtail Manor for a delightful dinner party–one that celebrates a nearly completed trade route between London’s Shipyards and a small village in Ghana, Africa–the sky opens up and pours its fury of rain, thunder, and lightning onto the old house at the top of the hill.

Viscount Roland Sterling III is determined to keep his guests entertained so he can implement all of his secret plans, even in this dreadful weather. But those guests are just as determined to make things difficult for him and his hardworking staff.

There is the soldier, defender of the crown, a man keeping a close eye out for any signs of foul play. Is that simply in his nature, or does he expect something sinister?

The ship captain is a jolly man who takes no thought to the storm, and quite likes its presence. Perhaps a little too much, some may think.

A bleak and dreary couple turn out to be long time friends of the Viscount, but they don’t exactly seem to be glad that they’re here.

A young working class man who has never been to such an illustrious home, has brought his wife all the way from Florida to marvel at the prestige of the elite of London.

The youngest member of the party is the Earl, a bright young man arriving with his fretful doctor who hovers over him with nervous attention that borders on paranoia.

The most influential and infamous guest is a man full of spite and arrogance. He specializes in angering those around him, and his wife takes great joy in laughing delightedly at all the victims of his vindictive nature.

Everyone that is gathered stands to gain something from the trade route they are a part of, but some want more than their fair share. Relationships will be tested, boundaries will be pushed, and soon someone crosses a line and commits an act that cannot be undone.
